About the Role

• The key at TCOU Group is that no two days are the same and you will put our service users at the heart of what we do, You will be responsible for planning, developing and coordinating a diverse timetable of activities for our variation of service users (our TCOU Family). You will consider their age ranges, genders, needs, cultures, interests, health & safety and wellbeing.

• You will ensure that our TCOU Family are aware of activities and events, Helping & explaining event details when required and seeking service user feedback to develop bespoke activities programmes to suit them.

• You will be thoughtful, energetic, up beat and will encourage involvement.

• You will support the TCOU family to live independently. You will also ensure that their families, friends and carers are (were possible) invited and included in all events – making their network feel welcome.

• You will look to promote TCOU Group and our family to enhance and develop relationships/partnerships with the local community and voluntary groups – in order to get involved in local community events.

• You will be responsible for the quarterly newsletter, promoting and advertising the activities notice board Internally and externally, activity budgeting and expenses, supervising external led activities whilst promoting wellbeing and health & safety at all times.

• The role is available to start on a part time basis with an opportunity to move to full time in the future. The hours flexible on a part time basis between the hours 7:30am & 6pm

Requirements

You have a minimum of 6 months experience of working within the care industry – with a understanding and awareness of care regulations and legislation.


A good level of competency using Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel & some experience with office administrative duties – from typing, letter writing, filing, record keeping to report preparation.


You are ideally working towards a NVQ3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care – or are keen to develop your career in the sector.


Although you will work as part of the TCOU family, it is equally as important that you can manage your own time and activities for this role.


You will have the ability to cope with pressure and last minute change.


Please be advised that you will need an Enhanced DBS check in order to fulfil this role. We can accept a DBS from the Update Service or assist you with a check if successful.
